The CCG's Governing Body has the overall function and duty of establishing and maintaining the strategic direction of the CCG. It agrees the vision, strategy and policy, and agrees a forward plan with clear objectives to deliver the organisation’s purpose. It is accountable for governing the organisation and holds the executive and members to account for the delivery of strategy.
The CCG also has a Primary Care Commissioning Committee which makes collective decisions on the review, planning and procurement of primary care services in Oldham CCG footprint, under delegated authority from NHS England.
The Commissioning Partnership Board is a joint committee with Oldham Council which exercise NHS Functions delegated by the CCG and other health-related Council functions in accordance with the section 75 Partnership Agreement. Together with the CCG's Commissioning Committee, the Board provides assurance on delivery of statutory functions and responsibilities exercisable by the CCG.
The Health and Well Being Board is a formal committee of Oldham Council charged with promoting greater integration and partnership between bodies from the NHS, public health and local government. It has a statutory duty, with the CCG, to produce a joint strategic needs assessment and a joint health and wellbeing strategy for the local population.
